Apple’s iTunes U is a dream come true!
by Tom in Apple News
I just recently renewed our apple iOS developer program. I decided to take a break from iOS development to focus on our Web development and Internet Marketing efforts. The last we developed for iOS it was version 4. We are just amazing at the progress the entire system has made, from the software to the developer program.
There is a reason Apple is the number 1 company in the world. They strive for perfection at every angle. 30% cut from our profits is more than worth it with the amount of hand holding Apple gives all of its developers. From the WWDC every year, to the platform optimization, API’s, training videos and seminars. I think the icing on the cake is the partnerships with universities and schools. The Stanford development programs are the pinnacle of a new age in education. Apple just recently released an iTunes U application for the iPad and iPhone. The app offers University courses for free, in some of them you need to buy a textbook using iBooks but mostly you get free PDF’s. Stanford just recently released a course that combines its software development course with a social network platform. This allows all mobile iTunes U students to interact with each other using a forum. Who knew?
All you need to do is buy yourself an iPad and you automatically can enroll in free IV league university programs and get the exact training and information a Stanford student gets. I really wanted to touch on this because I feel this iTunes U app for iOS is way underrated. Practically no one is talking about it in terms of the media and so many people are missing out on this amazing feature.
Never stop learning or educating yourself!
